Madden Challenge: Pitch Competition
During the Fall Quarter of my first year, I took BUS 1440: The Fourth Industrial Revolution. In this course, we were assigned to groups of 4-5 students to develop a product incorporating advanced technology that could benefit society. My group created "Works Like A Charm," a charm bracelet designed to detect date rape drugs in alcoholic drinks and notify an emergency contact of the wearer’s location.
We engaged in critical thinking to devise the most effective functionality for the charm bracelet and developed a comprehensive marketing plan. This involved researching various technologies, identifying target markets, and choosing an optimal color scheme for the product. Our group engaged in extensive discussions to formulate the best strategy for developing and promoting our product.
Skills Cultivated:
-
Pitched product concepts to a panel of professionals
-
Conducted extensive research to develop the best marketing strategy
-
Collaborated with team members to refine and advance the product idea
